Mercy Foundation receives grants to support oral health program

ROSEBURG — CommonSpirit Mission and Ministry Fund awarded Mercy Foundation $282,314 and Oregon Community Foundation granted $32,500 to implement a hospital-based prevention and education oral health program at CHI Mercy Health.

“This grant is a long term win for our new oral health care program at Mercy,” Mercy Foundation President Lisa Platt said in a press release.

The grants will be used to provide patients with preventative care and making sure they leave the hospital with a dental plan.

The money from Oregon Community Foundation came from the Olsrud Family Fund and the William Swindells, Sr. Memorial Fund.
